Details for our 150th anniversary

For 150 years, Second Pres has served Jesus and our community. Join us as we appreciate our past, celebrate our present and anticipate our future! 

It's positively providential that our official "Organizational date" falls on a Sunday in 2025, so we're kicking off our  sesquicentennial year celebrations on Sun, February 9, 2025 at our 9:30 a.m. worship service.  

It'll have all the musical bells and whistles you'd expect + a luncheon following the service where we'll honor our long-time members. 

The big sesquicentennial celebration happens in June! 

Thurs, June 5 - an organ concert by Jed Johnson, son of Second Pres and Canon Director of Music at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, CA with a reception to follow 

Fri, June 6 - a choral concert led by Dr. Stan Workman with a reception to follow 

Sat, June 7 - Open House + activities (10 am - 2 pm): church tours, music throughout the day, service project assembly, God's Pantry donations, a living timeline, church merch to purchase and SWAG to give away 

Sun, June 8 - Pentecost worship with communion + luncheon

Save the date cards will be going out in the mail to members and friends in October and official invitations with more details in early 2025.
